This is a wonderful 18th century farmhouse which has been lovingly converted into a spacious mas of around 220sqm in size. It is located in the typically Provencal village of Maillane, famous as the birthplace of Frederic Mistral, which has a baker, a butcher, a small grocery, a couple of cafes and restaurants all within an easy walk. Whilst the walled city of Avignon, the Roman town of Arles and the vibrant capital of Les Alpilles, St Remy-de-Provence are all a relatively short drive away.The mas, which is both quiet and secluded, has a very pretty south facing garden hidden by a high wall, which features, an automatic covered swimming pool of 6.5 x 3.5m in size, covered and uncovered terraces and a rather handsome Murier de Chine, which offers shade during the summer months. The interior of the house has been decorated and furnished in a very comfortable and welcoming way, with the combination of large windows, white or original stone walls and high ceilings giving a feeling of space, especially on the ground floor. Other items to note are some very attractive and colourful fabric paintings, all produced by the owner.
